If you’ve been scrolling through your socials lately and wondering why “Sky Pins Tours and Travel” suddenly vanished into thin air—well, because the self-proclaimed Kampala “tycoon” Don Chris (real name Assimwe Christine) ran away after allegedly fleecing over Ugx. 500 million from job-hungry Ugandan youths.
According to dozens of angry posts from victims online, Don Chris pulled off a clean con, luring desperate job seekers with promises of juicy employment opportunities abroad. His flashy travel agency, Sky Pins Tours and Travel, operated out of Kampala, promising heaven but delivering hell.
The office is now locked. Phones? Switched off. Hope? Completely deflated.
Young Ugandans who put together life savings—some even borrowing money—now have nothing to show for it except visa forms, bounced emails, and rage. Many have turned to X and TikTok to air their frustrations and call on police to bring Don Chris to justice.
But plot twist: Don Chris came out on TikTok — not to apologize, not to explain, but to MOCK his victims.
In a brazen video, the fraudster confidently told his victims that they can do nothing to him because, in his own words, he has “power in the system.” He admitted the fraud, denied any responsibility (“I didn’t call anyone to bring money to me”), and made it clear he’s not giving back a single shilling.
To add salt to injury, reports say he’s now living it up in Dubai while everyone he conned is left behind counting losses and shattered dreams.
This isn’t the first time Don Chris has been spotted rubbing shoulders with struggling musicians and “sponsoring” local events like some sort of fake philanthropist. But this scam might be his biggest yet.
As for now, Uganda Police hasn’t issued a public statement, but victims are urging Interpol and security agencies to step in and track him down before he disappears completely into the Dubai sunset.
