Musician Dokta Brain has thrown in the towel on his deal with Zhafar Music Agency, just a few months after putting pen to paper back in March 2025, he says they’re too slow for him.
While confirming the split, Dokta Brain said the partnership didn’t live up to his expectations, especially when it came to pushing his music to the mainstream audience.
“The problem was that the music didn’t enter the mainstream, the album failed to do that and we had to do an African tour for it but that didn’t happen. We reached a point where my speed and what I expected from them wasn’t similar. My speed was too much and we couldn’t be on the same level anymore,” he explained.
Even with the disappointment, Doorkey thanked Zhafar for supporting his album project and respecting his craft. He also made it clear that the music rights remain with him since he is the songwriter.
Fans are now waiting to see what the fast-rising star has lined up next, with many predicting he might go independent or shock everyone with a new management team.
