Celebrated Ugandan dancer DanceMamweeta is once again set to make a major impact on Uganda’s creative industry as she gears up to host the highly anticipated Own The Floor Dance Camp 2026 this May.
Known for her contribution to Uganda’s growing urban dance culture, DanceMamweeta has positioned the event as more than just a dance camp, but a platform created to empower young creatives through movement, performance, collaboration, and self-expression.
The two-day experience is scheduled to take place on May 15 and 16 at Motiv Uganda from 9:00AM to 8:00PM daily, bringing together dancers, choreographers, DJs, performers, and urban culture enthusiasts from across Kampala and beyond.

According to organizers, Own The Floor Dance Camp aims to create a vibrant environment where dancers can sharpen their skills, showcase talent, connect with fellow creatives, and gain visibility within Uganda’s entertainment scene.
The camp will celebrate both African and urban dance styles while encouraging creativity, confidence, and community among young performers.
This year’s edition will feature a lineup of notable dancers and creatives including Treee, Emma Kendrick, Bgirl Joan, Bobby Beats, Fleekers UG, Cohen Mayani, Miss Tee, Syrosoff, Afro Prince, Abaddie_Gyal, Uncle Walter Levy, Hama_D3M, and many other talents shaping Uganda’s dance movement.
With dance culture continuing to influence music videos, TikTok trends, nightlife, and youth entertainment spaces globally, the event arrives at a time when Ugandan dancers are increasingly gaining attention both online and internationally.
Tickets are already available, with a one-day pass going for UGX 20,000 while the full two-day experience is priced at UGX 40,000.

The event is powered by Black Culture Academy Uganda and Dance Mamweta alongside key partners including Talent Africa Group, NRG Radio Uganda 106.5, Motiv Uganda, Tusker Lite, GZ Pictures, Trroy Studios, Akiro, and Vibe House.
