Singer Chosen Becky has reportedly called off her highly–anticipated kwanjula after allegedly failing to raise the 200 million shillings she needed for the ceremony.
Word reaching the Blizz desk is that all her fundraising meetings flopped badly, with most of her friends and well-wishers snubbing her completely. To make matters worse, Ssekajja’s family is said to have contributed only 4 million towards the massive budget, leaving Becky stuck and frustrated.
Insiders whisper that Becky was left embarrassed after realizing no one was willing to step in and rescue the situation. Friends close to the singer say her current crisis is a result of “karma working overtime,” claiming Becky has never been the type to show up for others during hard times, but expects everyone to show up for her when she’s in need.
According to the same sources, several of the people she invited to the fundraising meetings simply ignored her calls, while others claimed they had their own bills to handle. The cold reception left the Bankuza hitmaker with no option but to cancel the entire function until further notice.
People within her circle say tension has already started building between Becky and Ssekajja’s camp, especially after the groom’s side reportedly insisted they couldn’t stretch beyond what they had contributed.
