CBS FM has reportedly cut ties with legendary political analyst and presenter, Meddie Nsereko Ssebuliba, ending decades as one of the station’s most authoritative voices.

Sources inside the Mengo-based station according to CelebPatrol, Nsereko who had been off-air for more than two months will not be returning, even though management has chosen to stay silent on the real reason behind his departure.

Initial reports suggested Nsereko had traveled to the UK for specialised eye treatment. However, fresh details indicate that what started as a short medical break quietly morphed into a permanent exit.

“It was a mutual understanding… people had started saying many things,” an insider told Blizz Uganda, hinting at behind-the-scenes tensions.

Nsereko, believed to be in his 60s, has been a household political commentator since joining CBS FM in 1996. His big break came in 2001 when he took full charge of the station’s political programming after the departure of Mulindwa Muwonge.

For years, listeners tuned in religiously to his analysis across several shows:

  • Kiriza Oba Gana on 89.2 FM
  • Palamenti Yaffe on 88.9 FM every Saturday
  • Alive and Kicking on Sunday mornings, now reportedly renamed Mukikadde following his exit

Beyond radio, Nsereko recently expanded his influence with The Meddie Nsereko Show podcast, where he hosted notable political and social figures.

The seasoned analyst often credited CBS FM for giving him “enormous opportunities” and helping shape his career into what it became.
