Dancehall musician and mental health activist Musolo David, popularly known as Buka Chimey, has officially wedded his long-time Germany based partner Mabel “Empress” Namakula, in a private ceremony held in Denmark.
The wedding, which took place last Saturday, was attended by close family members and friends, marking a significant milestone in the couple’s long-standing relationship.
Buka Chimey, widely recognized for songs such as “Beer After Beer” and “Tuli Waweru,” and for spearheading the fight on Artistes’ mental health, shared the news through his social media platforms, accompanied by photos from the ceremony and a heartfelt message reflecting on their journey together.
In his message, the singer described their union as a divine covenant, expressing gratitude and commitment to his wife.
“God, in His quiet wisdom, wrote this story long before we ever understood it. And today, we stepped into that promise and said ‘I do.’ Not just as words, but as a covenant, something sacred, something covered in grace,” he wrote.
He went on to praise his bride, highlighting her strength, faith, and role in his life, while also reaffirming his commitment to building a future together.
The couple, who have been together for several years, share children and have often publicly expressed their bond and family values.
According to Blizz Uganda trusted sources, Mabel Namakula is based in Stuttgart, Germany, where she has been living, while Buka Chimey continues to balance his music career in Uganda with mental health advocacy through his initiative called Mindful Creativity.
The wedding formalizes a relationship that has been visible to fans over the years, with many followers taking to social media to congratulate the couple on their union.
