Drama filled Makindye Chief Magistrate’s Court this morning after socialite Bryan White,  real name Brian Kirumira, was brought into the courtroom on a stretcher, looking extremely weak and in unbearable pain to be charged with cases including Human Sacrifice.

The court had been set to read out human sacrifice–related charges against him, but the scene quickly turned into a medical emergency.

Witnesses were left in shock as the once–flamboyant public figure was wheeled in, motionless and crying out loudly. Court officials struggled to settle him inside the courtroom as his intense wails echoed through the chambers, forcing the magistrate to suspend the session.

Even before the case could start, the magistrate ruled that Bryan White be immediately taken back to hospital for further treatment, saying court could not proceed given his condition.

Outside the courtroom, The father of the late Caroline Nalubwama broke down as he watched Bryan White in that state, the moment adding even more weight to a case already drowning in controversy as he claimed that he was pretending to be ill.

CASE DETAILS LEAVE COURT IN SILENCE

Bryan White is facing serious charges stemming from the death of 25-year-old Caroline Nalubwama, who died after sustaining severe burn injuries inside his Kyamula home under mysterious circumstances.

Government investigators have since dismissed the earlier claim that the burns came from a gas explosion.

Police say suspicious items including ghee, petrol, honey, candles, and several objects resembling ritual setups were recovered at his residence. Officers also found grass-thatched structures that looked like shrines, raising fears that Caroline may have been a victim of ritual activity rather than an accident.

Caroline’s family has consistently rejected the gas explosion story, insisting the burn patterns on her body did not match that explanation.

Their pressure, combined with forensic evidence, led to charges of human sacrifice, manslaughter, and related offenses being placed on Bryan White and several people close to him.

Among those arrested are his wife Daisy Nalunga and multiple individuals believed to have been with Caroline in her final hours. The proprietor of the first clinic where Caroline was taken is also behind bars, accused of negligence and of tampering with medical evidence.
