Singer Bruno Kiggundu, popularly known as Bruno K, has made social media history after smashing TikTok records during the official launch of his much-anticipated live broadcast show, ‘Ekibozibozi’.
The launch, which followed a public fallout with fellow singer Crysto Panda over alleged disputes concerning proceeds from the Champanya Festival, marked Bruno K’s bold digital comeback.
While Panda addressed the matter through media interviews, Bruno opted to focus his energy on building a new platform — and it’s already paying off.
During its debut stream, Ekibozibozi attracted a jaw-dropping 34,000 live viewers, racked up over 27 million likes, and received approximately $2,000 (UGX 7.7M) in virtual gifts — setting a new benchmark for live streaming in Uganda.
To top it off, renowned traditional healer Mama Fiina joined the stream and pledged UGX 10 million to support Bruno K’s plans of purchasing a new car, further fueling the excitement around the broadcast.
Among the many notable guests was celebrated media personality Faridah Nakazibwe, who joined the stream and took a moment to share heartfelt reflections on her long-standing friendship with the singer, praising his resilience and creativity.
With Ekibozibozi off to a historic start, Bruno K has not only silenced his critics but also redefined how Ugandan entertainers can harness digital platforms to engage and grow their audiences.
