Swangz Avenue songstress Azawi has revealed that she spent over UGX 24 million on dental work to restore her smile after a childhood accident affected her dental structure.
In a candid interview with YouTuber Kasuku, the Quinamino hitmaker shared that the dental issue had bothered her for years — and once she got her breakthrough in music and could afford it, she decided to invest in fixing her teeth.
“I got an accident when I was still a child, and it messed up my dental formula. So when I started singing and made some money, I went to a good dentist and they fixed me up,” Azawi explained.
She revealed that she got 12 veneers, with each one costing UGX 1 million, and that was just the beginning. The total figure also includes root canal procedures, specialized toothbrushes, and other dental care products she now has to use regularly to maintain her oral health.
“It’s expensive, but I had to do it for my confidence and personal happiness,” she added.
Azawi’s transparency has sparked praise from fans for her openness and dedication to self-care, with many calling her a role model for using her success to improve her well-being rather than just showbiz glam.
