Fast-rising singer Ava Peace has raised dust throughout the Ugandan music industry after boldly declaring that it’s time for young artistes to take over from the old generation that thinks everyone will support them.
While performing on stage recently, Ava Peace took a serious jab at veteran musicians, saying that Uganda is big enough for everyone to shine and that the younger generation also deserves its moment in the spotlight.
“This Uganda is so big and with so many people, everyone must shine. We shall not be forced to support old artistes forever yet we are also blessed by God. Let us also shine and become as big as we want — everyone must shine,” Ava Peace said as the crowd cheered her on.
Her statement has since caused a heated debate on social media, with some fans applauding her courage and others accusing her of disrespecting the pioneers who paved the way.
