Uganda Police have confirmed the arrest of Commander Mudogo, real name Baluku Shafan, over the death of Top Dancer, a popular TikTok dancer who died after a brutal beating weeks ago at singer Alien Skin’s home in Makindye.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson Patrick Onyango, Mudogo was picked up and is currently detained at Katwe Police Station as investigations into the shocking incident continue.
“Yes, we have arrested Commander Mudogo to record a statement over allegations that he may have information regarding the death of the dancer,” Onyango said.
Reports indicate that Top Dancer was assaulted at Alien Skin’s residence and later rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The incident sparked massive outrage online after a video surfaced showing the victim accusing certain individuals before his death.
Police have since launched a full-scale investigation, arresting people who appeared in the viral clip as they dig deeper into the circumstances surrounding the dancer’s death.
