The death of dancer Wilfred Namuwaya, aka Top Dancer Uganda, put pressure authorities, prompting them to storm singer Alien Skin’s Fangone Forest camp and sending the ‘kimenke’ into hiding.
Police confirmed that they visited the group’s Makindye base last week after disturbing allegations emerged linking some camp members to the brutal beating of the late dancer.
In a chilling video recorded before his death, Top Dancer claimed he had been assaulted by individuals connected to Fangone Forest. Reports suggest he was picked up from his home in Ndeeba and taken to the group’s hideout in Kizungu, Makindye, where the alleged beating took place — punishment, it is said, for defecting from the camp.
The video went viral, sparking outrage and a flood of online demands for arrests. Many Ugandans directly pointed fingers at Alien Skin, accusing him of knowing more than he has let on. Yet, according to sources close to the singer, he has been “unreachable” for the past two days, fueling speculation about his whereabouts.
“We have given the government 24 hours to reveal the whereabouts of our friend. Please produce him or let us know his whereabouts. We are silent now, but we are about to make the loudest noise,” warned fellow artist Fik Gaza in a TikTok video, echoing the growing tension.
