A state-of-the-art Coffee Africa Park is set to launch this Saturday, May 24, in Rwashamaire, Ntungamo District with a game-changing innovation: Africa’s largest coffee drying machine, capable of processing massive volumes of beans while preserving quality and flavor.

This technological leap positions Uganda to compete globally in the coffee value chain, enhancing both efficiency and earnings for farmers.

The facility is part of a larger, visionary development by Inspire Africa Group—binding agriculture, sports, and community empowerment.

The unveiling will be graced by Presidents Yoweri Museveni of Uganda and William Ruto of Kenya, who will also flag off the first-ever Coffee Marathon.

Inspire Africa CEO Dr. Nelson Tugume called the initiative “a transformational moment” for Uganda’s rural communities. “We’re not just drying coffee—we’re drying poverty,” he said. “This park is where agriculture meets innovation, and where rural dreams meet real opportunity.”

Alongside the drying plant, a modern sports complex will also be revealed—featuring a 2,000-seater stadium with a professional athletics track, basketball and tennis courts, an Olympic-sized swimming pool, and a regional Coffee Sports League. The full stadium is scheduled for completion by October 2025 during the annual Coffee Festival.

Athletics icon Dorcus Inzikuru, ambassador of the Coffee Marathon, praised the vision: “This could be the breeding ground for Uganda’s next generation of sports champions—and it’s all rooted in coffee.”

The Coffee Marathon features 5km, 10km, 21km, and 42km race categories and will raise funds to support rural women in Uganda’s coffee value chain. The day will conclude with a massive concert headlined by Diamond Platnumz, Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo, and others.
