Abitex - Jose Chameleone
Abitex - Jose Chameleone
Uganda’s veteran events promoter Abitex has shockingly revealed how the much-anticipated Jose Chameleone concert at Kololo Airstrip is not happening. At least, not under his name after the singer asked for an insane amount of money.

It all started a few months ago when Chameleone, still in the U.S. for treatment, teased fans with a mysterious photo and one cryptic date: August 1st, 2025. Fans went wild, thinking the Leone Island CEO was about to make the mother of all comebacks.

But now? That whole dream has been flushed down the toilet. 🚽

In a juicy interview with Spark TV, Abitex didn’t mince words. He confirmed he had scrapped the solo Chameleone concert and instead rebranded the entire thing into a general show with multiple artists. Translation? It’s no longer Chameleone’s night.

“I cancelled the concert that was meant to celebrate Chameleone and made it general,” Abitex said casually. “He’s free to look for another promoter or organize his own thing.”

Ehh! Just like that.

Abitex admitted that when they sat down to negotiate the deal, Chameleone asked for a figure so wild, he had to clutch his calculator and walk away.

“The guy asked for a ridiculous amount of money,” Abitex revealed. “The music industry doesn’t excite me like it used to. If I sense greed, I just step aside.”

He denied rumours of a beef, So now, with August 1st right around the corner, fans are left wondering: will Chameleone organize something on his own, or will the Kololo airstrip lights shine without him?

As always, we’ll be watching.
