The Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards (ASFAs) have officially announced a major change to this year’s event, confirming that the ceremony has been postponed and upgraded into an exclusive ASFA Honorary Gala.
The event, which was originally scheduled for 12th December, will now take place on 19th December 2025 at the Kampala Serena Hotel.
According to organisers, the decision followed ongoing renovations at Serena, with the hotel requesting more time to prepare the venue to match the premium experience planned for the gala.
Unlike the usual grand ASFAs, this year’s edition will be a smaller, invite-only setup, bringing together top industry leaders, CEOs, ambassadors, cultural influencers and stakeholders driving Africa’s creative economy. Only 200 tickets will be available for the public, while the rest of the attendance will be strictly by invitation.
General admission is priced at UGX 250,000, while a table goes for UGX 5 million.
This year’s theme, “A Tribute to African Visionaries Shaping the Future of African Fashion, Arts & Culture,” will guide a night filled with designer showcases, a glamorous red carpet and high-level networking for creatives, innovators and investors. Organisers also promised performances from top local and international acts.
NRG Radio, the official entertainment partner, revealed that they will stage a special production during the gala. Brand Lead Barbra Linda said NRG is committed to empowering African creatives and using its platforms to amplify talent across the continent. She confirmed that the entertainment lineup will be announced next week.
ASFA founder Brian Ahumuza (Abryanz) explained that this year’s edition is designed to honour people who have shaped African fashion and built the foundations the industry stands on today.
JMM CEO Joram Muzira also highlighted the importance of the gala in boosting opportunities for African models and designers, saying such events help creatives access international platforms and strengthen the wider fashion ecosystem.
The execution of the 2025 Honorary Gala is being handled by Adris Digital Africa, known for high-end production and creative direction. Creative Director Solomon Muleyi said this year’s shift is intentional, focusing on visionaries rather than categories and celebrating depth over volume.
The ASFA Honorary Gala will take place on 19th December 2025 at the Kampala Serena Hotel. Only 200 public tickets have been released.
