The Nyege Nyege Festival 2025 is officially one of the biggest events this year and if you weren’t on the banks of the Nile in Kayunga, then you need to ask yourself one question: WERE YOU EVEN ALIVE?

The 10th anniversary show, moved to the massive grounds of Adrift Uganda, was supposed to be about global exchange, Danish Embassies, and fancy music conferences (yes, they even had a European Muzungu meeting supported by Denmark’s Africa’s Century strategy—kudos to Ambassador Signe for the hustle!). They had new stages, bungee jumping, and Fik Fameica himself lighting up The Portal Stage on Friday like a true superstar!

But forget all that slow-slow talk. The entire weekend the whole cultural mountain peaked at 5 A.M. SUNDAY MORNING when one man from Masaka, one man alone, took over: DJ SUUNA BEN!

NYEGE NYEGE DURING DJ SUUNA BEN’S SET

Suuna Ben truly proved that he is the true King of the stage when he stepped onto the decks when every other DJ had run out of vibe and delivered what festival veterans are calling the most EXPLOSIVE, MADNESS-FILLED, UNFORGETTABLE sunrise session Nyege Nyege has ever witnessed.

From the moment the beat dropped, the thousands of revelers who had lasted the entire night went from tired to TRANSMOGRIFIED! The crowd turned into a massive, sweaty, dancing kikopo of pure energy. Branches and leaves, were swung so high in the air you’d think a hurricane had just hit Kayunga!

He spun those massive tunes, bridging local bangers with high-energy global sound, and kept the crowd absolutely locked until the sun came blazing over the River Nile. It wasn’t just a set; it was a SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION! Masaka showed the whole world how it’s really done, leaving the international DJs scratching their heads in confusion and awe.

While the organizers (Team Talent Africa Group, thanks for the gig) want to talk about UTB, Trace TV, and Red Bull, the only thing everyone is talking about is: SUUNA BEN! He proved that no matter how big and fancy the festival gets, the raw, local, heart-stopping Ugandan vibe remains the ultimate champion!

You missed it? TOO BAD! Start saving your coins for next year because Suuna Ben officially raised the bar so high, we might need a ladder!

Organized by Talent Africa Group and powered by key partners including UTB, Uganda Waragi, Trace TV, NBS TV, NRG Radio, Red Bull, Explore Uganda, and Fairway Hotel, the 2025 festival delivered a fully curated ecosystem of creativity, tourism, and entertainment. Its 10-year milestone was not just a celebration of music but a statement on the power of African creativity when connected to global networks, institutional support, and open collaborative spaces.
