Singer Namakula Mary aka Mary Bata has publicly confirmed that she belongs to the National Unity Platform (NUP), ending all the confusion about where her political loyalty stands and whether she’s an NRM Supporter.
While appearing on UBC Star TV for an interview with Caro Cleopatra, the “Muliro” singer was asked whether she supports NRM or NUP, and without hesitation, she confidently said she is Team NUP all the way.
Mary Bata proudly described herself as a “foot soldier,” a name commonly used by loyal NUP supporters to show their strong dedication to the movement.
“I’m NUP by heart. I’m a foot soldier,” Mary Bata said during the show, leaving fans clapping and cheering in the comment section.
Her confession has since sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans praising her for standing firm, while others warned that politics can be tricky for entertainers.
