Only in Uganda! Celebrated journalist and YouTuber Isaac Katende a.k.a Kasuku has narrated a rather unbelievable twist after losing his phone at the CHAN 2024 games when a thief confessed to be his big fan.

Kasuku had gone to Mandela National Stadium, Namboole on Monday to catch the Uganda vs South Africa clash. But after the game, his excitement turned sour when he realized his phone had been stolen.

Fast forward to Tuesday morning, while running his live YouTube show, the outspoken media personality revealed that the thief actually reached out to him. And guess what? The culprit confessed that he is a diehard fan of Kasuku Live.

According to Kasuku, the thief told him straight up: “I watch your show ‘Kasuku Live’ and I love it so much but I am not returning this phone.”

Social media is now in stitches, with fans joking that only Kasuku could be “robbed with love.” Others, however, sympathized with him, pointing out how unsafe such big events can get.

For now, Kasuku is still phoneless—but at least he knows his content is so addictive, even thieves can’t resist tuning in.
