Mpaka Records CEO and singer Ykee Benda, real name Wycliff Tugume, officially took the next big step in his love journey with fiancée Emily Nyawira in a beautiful intimate kukyala ceremony.
The couple held their Kukyala ceremony in Naalya, a key milestone in their relationship. This came just weeks after their engagement—and now it’s clear, wedding bells are loading.
Ykee took to his socials to share the moment with fans, posting:
“Yesterday, baby took Dadzy to her Daddy! 3 years ago, I made a promise to a young lawyer that I would bring honor to her name and her father’s house. Yesterday was the beginning of fulfilling it. Beautiful as ever, she walked into a room full of family and could barely walk. She knelt down to greet Badman and introduced him to the Old man. The old men met and agreed, the cows and goats, and us, the two love birds, couldn’t be more grateful to God. Emily’s Kukyala 2025, we thank you all who stood with us. ON TO THE NEXT ONE.”

The Kukyala is a traditional Buganda ceremony that symbolizes a man’s formal intent to marry—think of it as the first official step toward the intro and wedding.
Sources say the Introduction ceremony is set for September 2025, and if this Kukyala is anything to go by, it’s going to be cultural, elegant, and full of love.
Fans, fellow artists, and well-wishers have since flooded the couple’s pages with congratulatory messages and blessings.

Love is definitely in the air for Badman and his lawyer queen.
