Things got unexpectedly romantic during a live broadcast on Galaxy FM when radio and TV presenter Florah Show confessed her deep crush on Chairman Nyanzi’s son James Churchill Sentamu, the Makerere University Guild President.
While co-hosting the station’s popular Lugambo segment, Poko Poko, with Mr. Henrie, Florah couldn’t hold it in any longer.
With a cheeky smile and heart on her sleeve, she blurted out, “I have a crush on Churchill Sentamu,” even jokingly referring to herself as Florah Sentamu.
Not one to let a moment like that slip by, Mr. Henrie whipped out his phone and called Churchill live on air. And guess what? He actually picked up!

Listeners were treated to a full-on tele-love moment as the two exchanged sweet words, with Florah openly telling him how much she admired and liked him. Churchill, sounding a mix of surprised and flattered, responded with, “Why didn’t you ever tell me in person?” before Mr Henrie suggesting that they “take things further with a date.”
Could this be the start of a real-life love story between Uganda’s media sweetheart and one of Makerere’s rising young leaders?
Only time (and maybe another live call) will tell.
