KCCA FC Fails to Beat Namibia’s African Stars FC

KCCA FC were 3:2 losers to Namibia’s African Stars in the CAF champions league preliminary game played on Saturday 10th August, 2019 in Windhoek.

The game played at Sam Nujoma Stadium saw the 13 time Uganda premier league champions lead the contest by an own goal from Ivan Kamberipa.

The home side equalised through Ambrosius Amseb, scoring a penalty after Peter Magambo handled the ball in the forbidden area. Youssouf Ibroihim then scored twice to hand the African Stars a 3:1 lead but Patrick Kaddu scored in the 83rd minute to reduce the deficit.

The Kasasiro boys can now progress to the next round with a 1-0 win in the second leg of the tie to be played in Kampala on the weekend of 23rd and 25 the August.

KCCA FC’s tactician Mike Hilary Mutebi brought in Lawrence Bukenya for Mike Mutyaba (47′) whereas Hassan Musana came on for Mustafa Kiiza (57′).
