American music heavyweight DJ Khaled has sparked speculation about a possible Uganda visit after publicly expressing his love for the country in a social media post featuring Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) CEO Juliana Kagwa.
Khaled shared photos of himself with Kagwa on Instagram while tagging her and Uganda, accompanied by a message praising the country and his Ugandan fans.
“Bless up @JulzKagwa Uganda @WeTheBestMusic where it’s all love and respect. Love is the only way! Bless up! Juliana Kagwa, please send love to all my Uganda day one fans and supporters. Love is the only way,” Khaled wrote.
Adding to the excitement, the music mogul used Ugandan superstar Jose Chameleone’s “Tubonge” as the soundtrack to the post.
The post has since attracted considerable attention in Uganda, with entertainment personalities and social media users interpreting the interaction as a possible hint at future plans involving the country.
Some fans have speculated that Khaled could be considering a visit, a collaboration or a tourism-related project following his interaction with Kagwa. However, there is currently no official confirmation that the American star is travelling to Uganda or has a performance scheduled.
A report published amid the online excitement similarly noted that neither Khaled nor the Uganda Tourism Board had announced a visit or performance.
Kagwa, who serves as CEO of the Uganda Tourism Board, has previously been involved in efforts to connect Uganda with international entertainment figures and promote the country as a tourism destination.
For now, Khaled’s Uganda message remains a strong expression of goodwill rather than a confirmed travel announcement. His choice of Tubonge, however, has given Ugandan fans another reason to speculate about what could come next.
