Bobi Wine friend Ziggy Wine dead

Singer turned Politician MP Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine has hailed the true dedication and support the late Ziggy Wine had for the People Power political Pressure group thereby condemning the gruesome way in which he lost his life.

Ziggy Wine was a musician, social media blogger and close friend to the Kyadondo East legislator who went missing three weeks ago after being abducted by unknown assailants.

He was later dumped at Mulago hospital after being tortured with fingers cut off, one eye plucked out and with severe body injuries.

Through his social media Facebook platform, the ‘Kyarenga’ singer has had this to say;

Bobi Wine enjoying good times previously with Tue late Zigy and fellow Firebase Crew members.

“Last night, my brother, friend and fellow artiste Michael Kalinda, commonly known as Zigy Wyne passed on at Mulago hospital.

Zigy Wyne’s last days on earth were very painful. Those who kidnapped him did to him the worst things a human being can do to another- cut off his fingers, plucked out his eye, grossly tortured him, and left him to die a very painful death. Zigy was a solid member of the Firebase Crew. A hard-working young man, and strong supporter of #PeoplePower. Like many young Ugandans, he was looking forward to a better country. It is very painful that our brother had to go through this. Last night we visited the grieving family at Mulago and they are completely devastated. I don’t know how those who carry out these atrocities on the citizens of Uganda hope to pay back for the tears they have caused to so many families and communities.

Friends, the state of our country is worrying. Zigy is just one of the countless people who are kidnapped, tortured and murdered daily in our nation. We receive reports of many supporters disappearing, while others have died in questionable ways, including suspicious accidents. As we mourn our brother, may we resolve to work even harder to redeem our country from this terror. Wumula milembe muganda wange. May God receive your soul in eternal glory,” Said MP Bobi Wine.
