Coca-Cola is challenging Ugandan youth to turn their everyday experiences into creative content and win cash prizes through its Essawa Yonna Kisoboka content creation campaign, which offers a monthly top prize of Shs1 million.

The campaign recently reached Kyambogo University during the Freshers’ Ball on Saturday, October 17, 2026, bringing students together for a day of music, entertainment and content creation opportunities.

The event featured performances from Ykee Benda, Ray G and Karole Kasita, while content creators and influencers Methia Nabawanda and CB Talker joined the excitement. Benji kept the crowd entertained throughout the event.

Beyond the campus entertainment, the campaign is encouraging young people to use their creativity to produce short videos inspired by football, music, dance, comedy, food, fashion and everyday social experiences.

Participants can capture moments such as watching English Premier League matches with friends, celebrating victories, sharing meals or dancing to their favourite songs, with Coca-Cola featuring as part of their experiences.

The challenge offers weekly prizes and other campaign goodies, while the leading content creator stands a chance to win a monthly cash prize of Shs1 million.

Unlike a one-time competition, the challenge encourages consistent participation. Eligible participants can submit multiple entries throughout the month to accumulate views and improve their positions on the leaderboard, subject to the official competition rules.

The campaign also offers young people an opportunity to develop their storytelling skills, grow their digital presence and share their creativity with a wider audience without necessarily being established influencers.

How to Participate in the Challenge

Young people who meet the competition’s eligibility requirements can join by purchasing an eligible Coca-Cola product and scanning the QR code on the bottle.

They are then directed to Coca-Cola’s OneXP website to complete registration before creating original short-form videos inspired by their interests and everyday experiences.

Participants must share eligible entries on Instagram using the official campaign hashtags #CokeEPLUG, #EssaawaYonna and #CreateWithCoke, while tagging @cocacolabeveragesuganda.

They are encouraged to keep creating and posting eligible content throughout the month, monitor the weekly leaderboard and compete for the available rewards in accordance with the official challenge rules.

As the campaign reaches more university communities, Coca-Cola is encouraging young Ugandans to move beyond consuming digital content and start creating their own.

Whether it is a campus gathering, a football watch party or a simple moment with friends, participants are being encouraged to turn their experiences into engaging stories that could earn them recognition and cash rewards.
