Female music duo Kataleya and Kandle are set to take their partnership to the live stage in 2027 with their maiden concert.
The announcement comes as the duo approaches their seventh year as professional musicians, having built a catalogue that includes their 2021 breakthrough Muzibe wa Love and their latest release, Sinnaba.
Since entering the music scene, Kataleya and Kandle have established themselves as a duo despite experiencing several ups and downs, particularly surrounding their management.
Those challenges have not stopped the pair from releasing a string of songs or performing on major stages. They have also worked with established artistes from Uganda and across East Africa, helping them build a following beyond their individual releases.
The duo previously dismissed suggestions that they should abandon their partnership and pursue separate solo careers, maintaining their commitment to working together.
Their decision to stage a concert in 2027 now gives the duo an opportunity to celebrate their journey with fans through a dedicated live music experience.
However, Kataleya and Kandle have not yet disclosed the exact date or venue for the concert.
The announcement has attracted mixed reactions online, with some fans questioning the timing of the event. Despite the concerns, the duo remains confident about the concert and what it could mean for their growing career.
With seven years in professional music approaching, the maiden concert will mark another major milestone for Kataleya and Kandle as they continue building their identity as one of Uganda’s prominent female music duos.
