The National Rally Championship (NRC) is getting to the fifth round of the calendar year this weekend with all action set to take place in Masaza in what is dubbed as the Bwera Bistro SMC Masaka Championship.

The fifth round is a do me I do you tie with all lions back in the den. With the last round in Kabalore district, the UMC Fortportal Tourism City Rally 2022 bringing unfamiliar faces of Daudi UMAR (winner), Kansiime Jonas (second) Lubega Mark (third) and Kalule Peter (fourth), the rally in Masaka is a must watch to see if Ponsiano Lwakataka will come back to keep his lead.

The rally in Fort Portal saw senior drivers bow out, Duncan Mubiru,Ponsiano Lwakataka, Ronald Seebuguzi all bowed out of the rally with Jasper Mangat exiting at the last day after the death of the mother to his chief mechanic.

With all these big names back in the race and Ponsiano Lwakataka looking to keep his lead at the table, the race is a must watch.

Umar Dauda and Jonas Kansiime who stand second and third respectively on table standings will also want to keep pace and will ultimately give a closely contested race in the weekend.
