Kyandondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu also known as Bobi Wine has been placed under house arrest by the Uganda police force.

Blizz Uganda has learnt that the singer turned politician's home and One Love Beach, Busabala were surrounded with heavily armed law enforcers last Tuesday night at 11:pm in a move of blocking him from staging his 'Osobola ku Independence' music concert at his One Love Beach, Busabala in Makindye Ssabagabo municipality, Wakiso district.

It must be noted that the Inspector General of Police Martins Okoth Ochola canceled Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine’s independence music show according to his letter dated October 2, but released on Tuesday 8th to Kampala Metropolitan Police (KMP), stating that Kyagulanyi did not consider the preparatory plans for medical care, traffic control, crowd control and security.

"This serves to inform you that the notice to the inspector general of police has remarkably deficiencies, which do not guarantee lawfulness, safety, security for the public and organisers," reads Ochola's letter by AIGP Asuman Mugenyi.

As police announced the cancellation of the concert, the 'Osobola' hit maker was in advanced stages of finalising with his rehearsals at his Fire Base music studio in Kamwokya.

Through his social media Facebook platform, MP Bobi Wine has come up with a formal complaint to the ruling government showing his worry to why his music concerts are being frustrated from taking place by the government this one being the 156th one on grounds that they don't have enough security to secure revelers at Busabala yet there is enough man power to block his shows.

Bobi Wine claims that after all President Museveni recently registered as a musician in what he says was a futile attempt to counter him, he should then allow a free competition.

"My home in Magere is yet again under police and military siege! At about 11:00pm last night, they surrounded my home in Magere as well as One Love Beach Busabala, in another move to place me under house arrest and block our Independence Day music concert. The 156th concert so far! These are the same people who claimed not to have enough security to secure our people at the show. Yet, they have enough manpower to instill fear, harass citizens and block the show!

These cowardly actions must be resisted and condemned by all democratic forces. President Museveni has been attending concerts of his praise singers. The greatest level of hypocrisy is to say that when you sing praises for his dictatorship on stage, you're not doing politics and when you oppose his regime of blood and national shame, then you're doing politics and your concert will be blocked with impunity.

Recently, President Museveni went ahead to register himself as a musician in another futile attempt to counter Bobi Wine. If he wants to compete with us musically, it should be fair play. Let the population decide who they want to listen to. THIS IS OUR COUNTRY, and friends, we shall certainly overcome. #OsobolaKuIndependence," lamented MP Bobi Wine.

On April 22 this year, police stopped Bobi Wine's concert on grounds that he had not met the laid down procedures. Field Force Unit unleashed brutality in foiling Bobi Wine Busabala concert to the extent of smashing his car windows with a hammer and he was pepper-sprayed.
