The Masaza Cup organizing Committee has on Wednesday 17th November,2021 launched the 2021 Masaza Cup edition and record champions Gomba FC will play host to 2008 champions Kyadondo on Saturday 20th November,2021 in this season's opener.
The tournament will like the last one be hosted at FUFA Technical Center Njeru due to the COVID-29 pandemic government restrictions.
The Buganda premier (Katikkiro) Charles Peter Mayiga will grace the opening ceremony along with other Saza Chiefs.
Most of the preparations are done, with all playing staff and team officials vaccinated with only the day for kick off remaining for action to take place.
Gomba FC are the defending champions after winning the last tournament 3:1 against 2016 winner Buddu.
They are joined up in Masengere group by 2011 winners Buluuli, two time champions Ssingo (2015 & 2018) and Kabula.
Buddu was grouped in Muganzirwazza along with Busujju,Mawogola, Buwekula and Butambala.
Last season's third place finishers Busiro who beat Bulemeezi 5:3 in penalties following a goalless stalemate where pooled in Bulange group along Bugerere, Kyaggwe and Buvuma.
