Court Orders King Michael to Sweet, Slash and Clean Court Premises For a Week

An order from Makindye Magistrates Court has assigned faded singer Mugwanya Micheal alias King Michael to carry out 168 hours (a week) of community work for violating the Covid-19 Presidential directives on curfew and the spread of the infectious Covid-19 disease.

The "Muko Muko" singer known his fate last Monday after being presented with the rest of the suspects at Makindye Magistrates Court almost four days ago while rotting in Nateete police cells for going against the presidential directives.

Michael was last weekend nabbed by security personnel while watching a premiership game in one of Kampala city's hangouts but beyond the curfew time.

The singer was subjected to community work by the Makindye Chief Magistrate after pleading guilty of committing the offense.

While speaking to the press after being convicted, King Michael revealed tjat as a role model to millions and a Ugandan who isn't above the law, he will abide by the court's rule of cleaning its premises and ensure that the grass is kept short, clean, and well swept on a daily basis for a week.
