Months while under solitary confinement at Luzira Prisons, former Makerere University researcher Nalongo Doctor Stella Nyanzi has vowed to sue the Uganda Prisons Service for torturing female inmates.
The imprisoned Research Don who was on Thursday 26th September appearing at the High Court for an appeal on her Cyber Harassment case has revealed to the press about the plight of women in prison accusing the prison wardens of torturing her and refusing to give them porridge for breakfast.
While in the transit to the court room, the outspoken women activist has told her saddening experience to the press about how she was inflicted with heavy kicks allover her body by wardens upon being put in solitary confinement for bothering them with a lot of questions yet they have no answers.
Stella Nyanzi has called upon the Uganda Prison Services high command to mind about investigating on the alarming kind of lifestyle inmates are living at Lizira Prisons before vowing to present her queries before the courts of law.
It must be remembered that the former was in August sentenced to 18months in prison upon conviction on charges of cyber harassment.
