Bobi Wine and Barbie Kyagulanyi Visit Nelson Mandela's Prison Cell in Robben Island

Former Presidential candidate Kyagulanyj Robert Sentamu alias Bobi Wine and wife Barbie Kyagulanyi took some time over the weekend to visit the late Nelson Mandela's Prison cell in the Robben Island.

Still encouraged and motivated to continue with the the struggle for freedom in Uganda, the opposition National Unity Platform, NUP Party Principal was honored to visiti Robben Island, a very cold and rocky 518 hectares of land near Capetown South Africa known to be one of the most horrific prisons for freedom fighters during the time of apartheid.

Robben Island is famously known as a place where political activist and lawyer Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 of the 27 years he served before the fall of apartheid and introduction of full, multi-racial democracy.

In the small cell, Nelson Mandela was held for 18 of his 27 years in jail, isolated and without a toilet.
