Singer Kalifah Aganaga alias Sadat Mukiibi has come out and cried to the government of Uganda pleading that it should come in to rescue several celebrities who have got loans in different banks and money lenders who now want to take their properties.
It's now close to two years since March 2020 when the Ugandan music industry got locked up due to the pandemic of Covid-19, bars and public gatherings have been locked down making it hard for artistes to perform and earn a living, Since then, several artistes resorted to borrowing loans from money lenders and banks to forge a way through financially.
While appearing on Sanyuka Tv(Uncut), the singer unveiled his new Bad character studio premises as he claimed to have stopped renting.
"I am no longer working yet I've got debts. I am not afraid to say it that I am on the verge of losing my other property to banks, it could be very a shameful to my Ugandan fans who have supported me from the start of they found me having nothing to show". The singer revealed.
The "Katono" hit maker futher attacked social media analyst and blogger Isma Olaxes who keeps on criticising celebrities by calling them broke yet he can't show up any of his house that can make him(Isma) sit on the table of big boys.
"I would go in for a sugar mummy who can give me every thing but I don't want to, I want to make my own things gradually. On this i ask the government to easy down the lockdown imposed on to the entertainment industry such that we can work again If not, let it talk with the banks such that they don't confiscate our property". He pleaded.
