Express FC Officially Crowned Uganda Premiere League Champions

Uganda's oldest football club Express FC has been officially Crowned the the Star Times Uganda Premier League (UPL) Champions for the seventh.

The crowning ceremonies were held on Tuesday 13th July,2021 and Express FC were given their trophy they won after a 42 days lock was imposed on the country and the entire activities (sports inclusive) and hence the Uganda league too was ceased and thus Wasswa Bbosa's side were declared champions.

Express FC will thus represent Uganda in the CAF Champions League next season whereas URA FC who finished second will represent the country in the CAF Confederations Cup.

It is the first time since 2013 that neither KCCA FC or Vipers will represent the country in inter-continental competitions.

Express FC goalkeeper and Club Vice captain Mathias Muwanga was named the season's best goalkeeper and went home with the golden glove accolade.

Vipers SC striker Yunus Ssentamu who played half of the season was the season's top scorer with 16 goals to his name and won him self the topscorers boot.
