In the second leg of the Quarter final matches played on Friday 4th June, Express FC and Police FC advanced to the Semi Finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup at the expense of KCCA FC and Wakiso Giants respectively.

Express FC played to a one all stalemate with hosts KCCA FC at the MTN Omondi Stadium Lugogo and thus the former progressed to the semi finals on away goals rule following a barren stalemate at Express' home, Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku a week ago.

Sadat Anaku had given the "Kasasiro Boys" hopes of progressing in the 42nd minute but a Martin Kiiza well taken penalty in the 83rd minute ensured the record Champions, Express FC (10X Along with KCCA FC) qualified for the Semis.

Earlier in the day, Wakiso Giants FC beat Police FC 2:0 away from home with a brace from Vianney Ssekajugo but it was not enough to overturn a 3:1 defeat in the first leg and thus the Cops majestically walked to the semi finals on a 3:3 aggregate score. Police beat Wakiso Giants 3:1 away from home and therefore Wakiso's 2:0 at Police's home win couldn't wasn't enough.

They join BUL FC who became the first side to reach the milestone when they ejected reigning champions Proline FC on a 2:1 aggregate score.

The other side to advance to the semi finals was coachless Vipers SC. The 2016 Uganda Cup champions eliminated SC Villa on a 3:1 aggregate score in a match marred with controversies.

This year's Stanbic Uganda Cup finals will be played in Kitara Region with Masindi Municipal Stadium the hosts.
