Swangz Avenue’s songstress Winfred Nwkanwagi also known as Winnie Nwagi is wanted by Police on accounts of obtaining money by false pretence.
According to a one promoter Sendagire, the ‘Matala’ singer had been hired to headline a music show over the weekend in Kyotera district dubbed ‘Entujjo ya Banna Kyotera” but despite being paid the booking fee, the former didn’t show up at the venue forcing the angry revelers who were hyped up for her performance to destroy property worth millions of shillings.
We have ascertained that Promoter Sendagire reached an agreement with Nwagi’s manager at the Swangz Avenue’s Industrial Area’s based offices to pay over 3.8million UGX in installments of 1.9m UGX for the singer to perform in Kyotera on Saturday 24th August but to his dismay, the former never turned up hence leading him to a lot of losses.
Having opened up a case file, now Sendagire wants Winnie Nwagi and his manager only identified as Gozanga to compensate him for all the loses he incurred as a result Winnie Nwagi’s failure to turn up at his concert.
