A group of 60 Ugandan girls have come out through a heartbreaking video and cried their eyes out for immediate help after finishing their work (kadaama) contracts and getting thrown out on streets with no food or even tickets to bring them back home.
Blizz Uganda news desk received a 4 minute video clip through which a group of covered and masked up girls and women were pleading out for help from anyone who can help them get work or come back home.
The girls in the video clips stated that they were more than 60 but over the past few months their have lost their friends and now that things have gotten worse, they have decided to air our their issues even though Ugandan officials do not want them to talk about it.
The same issue has been happening for the past year to an extent that back in 2020, the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga asked the Ministry of Gender Labor and Social Development to brief Parliament on the plight of stranded migrant workers in Saudi Arabia with no means of returning home and yet the recruiting companies had turned a deaf ear to their plight.
