The Star Times Uganda Premier League has only two matches to get to the end of the first round but URA FC confirmed they will start the second round at the top of the table.
Steven Mukwala's double inspired the tax collectors to three points with his first coming in the 22nd minute before doubling the score in the 62nd minute. Cromwell Rwothomio scored the winner in the 67th minute to ensure Sam Ssimbwa's side walk from Green Light Stadium, Arua with maximum points.
The Tax Collectors now wrap the first round of the Star Times Uganda Premier League top of the table on 36 points from 11 wins (the most of any side), three draws and one loss.
SC Villa were 2:1 away winners against Soltilo Bright Star FC. Thanks to goals from Fred Agandu in the 6th minute and a 65th minute goal from Nicolas Kabonge sealed the win for the Joggos as the home side managed only a consolation.
The result means SC Villa finishes seventh on the table with 25 points from 7 wins, 4 draws and as many losses.
SC Villa's Ronald Ssekiganda was named man of the match.
On the other side however, Bright Stars FC finish 10th on the table with 17 points from 4 wins, 5 draws and 6 loses.
Vipers SC displaced Express FC from second position with a narrow 1:0 win against KCCA FC. It was an own goal from KCCA FC's stalwart Peter Magambo in the 39th minute.
Vipers thus finishes second as by the end of first round with 33 points from 10 wins, three draws and two losses.
At Kakyeka stadium, home side Mbarara City and BUL FC played a one all stalemate, thanks to a goals from for respective sides from Swalic Bebe and Simon Peter Oketch.
The Star Times Uganda Premier League first round ends on Thursday with two fixtures.
