In the penultimate match of the first round of the Star Times Uganda Premier League played at The Arena of Visions in Ndejje, URA have won 2:1 against the Venoms to dethrone them from the table summit.
Shafic "Kuchi" Kagimu scored the match's opener for the Tax Collectors before Steven Mukwala doubled the lead in the 59th minute.
Vipers pulled a consolation through Ceaser Manzoki in the 74th minute but was not enough for the Fred Kajoba side and have lost their second match of the season.
URA FC currently takes over table summit from Vipers with 33 points after 10 wins, 3 draws and a loss whereas Vipers descend to second with 30 points accrued from 9 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses.
URA will confirm whether they top the table by the end of first round with a trip to Arua for a match against Onduparaka, their last of the first round on Wednesday, 17th March, 2021.
On the other hand, Vipers will conclude their first round with a home duel against 13 time champions KCCA FC. The match will be at St Mary's Stadium Kitende, on Wednesday 17th March,2021.
