SC Villa Claims First win of the season with a 3:0 triumph over Mbarara City

Record Uganda Premier League Champions SC Villa have on Wednesday 9th December claimed their first win of the season after edging Mbarara City in 3:0 encounter.

Playing at their home at Bombo military grounds, SC Villa got their lead in the 21st minute through left back Derrick, striking for a spot kick. Isaac Ogwang making his home debut at SC Villa doubled the lead in the 30th minute before snatching his second to bag a brace.

At Kavumba Recreation Ground home to Kitara FC, visitors UPDF FC were fierce with an emphatic 5:1 away win. The win means they have won as many matches played (two) with a sounding score of eight goals after also thumping Busoga United 3:0 in the opening match. They currently stand second on the table with six points and a a goal difference of seven separated by only one goal difference between them and KCCA FC.

Brian Kalumba, also a scorer in the opening match against Busoga United has on the day netted four to take his tally for the season to five goals, joint topscorer along with KCCA FC'S Brian Aheebwa.

Brian Kayanja scored the other to ensure the soldiers bagged maximum points from the match. It was l Peter Lomolo who grabbed a consolation for the new league entrants Kitara FC.
