FUFA President Magogo Pledges $1000 to Each of U-20 Squad Members

Eng. Moses Magogo who is the president of Uganda's football governing body FUFA has said each of the players of the Uganda U-20 national team will get $700 for making it to the final tournament of the AFCON U-20 to take place next year.

Uganda Hippos beat Kenya 3:1 in the semi finals of the CECAFA U-20 zonal AFCON qualifiers to book a ticket in the major tournament and for that milestone Magogo promised $700 to each of the squad members.

Magogo has on Wednesday 2nd December also pledged another $300 to the squad members if the "Hippos" win the tournament.

The organising Committee has also changed the kick off time for the finals of the CECAFA U-20 AFCON Zonal qualifiers that will see Uganda play Tanzania from 3:30pm to 3Pm. Tanzania beat South Sudan 1:0 to reach this level.

Uganda U-20 results up finals:

The AFCON U-20 Championship Will be staged in Mauritania next year from between February.

Group stages:

South Sudan 0:0 Uganda.

Uganda 6:1 Burundi.

Semis:

Uganda 3:1 Kenya.

Today (Finals).

Uganda Vs Tanzania at Black Rhino Academy Stadium at 3pm.
