Vipers SC defender and Captain Halid Lwaliwa was on target as the Cranes swooped three points against South Sudan to remain at the top group B in AFCON 2021 qualifiers.

Halid Lwaliwa who came on as a substitute for the injured Ronald Mukiibi rose up to head into the net in the 85th minute to ensure maximum points go to the home side.

The home side (Uganda Cranes)hosted it's match at Vipers SC home ground "St.Mary's Stadium" Kitende and will be back in action on Monday away to the same opponent in Key.

Uganda Cranes continues it's leadership at the top of the table with seven points from three matches.

Second placed Burkina Faso (Four points)takes on third placed Malawi at home later in the day at 10pm
