Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is today kicking off his presidential campaigns for the 2021 elections and he has decided to start from Greater Luweero.
The NRM party says their presidential candidate's campaign starts in the Greater Luwero region on Monday 9th November 2020.
The campaign will be village-based, where the flag bearer Yoweri Museveni will hold strategic meetings with a selected number of party leaders in a particular area.
The NRM Secretary General Kasule Lumumba has urged security enforcement officers not to favour NRM but treat every candidate equally as they implement the campaign guidelines.
Since the Electoral Commission banned public rallies during the 2021 political campaigns as part of the country’s COVID-19 containment measures. Campaigns will now be conducted on radio and television, in newspapers and on the internet.
After the approval, President Museveni’s campaign team released his program for the first week indicating that he will start from Buganda region and after he will roll out to other parts.
On Monday, Museveni will campaign live on all radios and TV stations in Buganda region at 7pm and he will speak in Luganda language.
