Vipers SC takes a lion's share as McKinstry names names final 7 home based players.

As Uganda Cranes' preparations for AFCON 2021 intensify, the national team head coach Jonathan McKinstry has named the final seven local names to join the 20 man squad of foreign based team initially named by the tactician.

Vipers SC had three names which include striker Karim Watambala and defenders Disan Galiwango plus club captain Halid Lwaliwa. The other four were from KCCA and URA with former having a duo of Lukwago Charles and Brian Aheebwa with the latter having Shafiq 'Kuchi' Kagimu and Patrick Mbowa.

Local based players summoned: Charles Lukwago, Halid Lwaliwa, Patrick Mbowa, Disan Galiwango, Shafic Kagimu, Karim Watambala and Brian Aheebwa.
Uganda hosts South Sudan in Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on 12th November,2020 at St. Mary's stadium at 4pm and will visit the Sudanese four days later in Kenya.

Goalkeepers: Dennis Onyango (Mamelodi Sundowns, South Africa), Jamal Salim (Al Hilal, Sudan).

Defenders: Ronald Mukiibi (Ostersunds FK, Sweden), Nico Wakiro Wadada (Azam, Tanzania), Timothy Denis Awany (Sport Club Ironi Ashdod, Israel), Joseph Ochaya (TP Mazembe, Democratic Republic of Congo), Alex Kakuba (CD Cova, Portugal), Elvis Bwomono (Southend, England).

Midfielders: Michael Azira (Chicago Fire, USA), Khalid Aucho (Misr Lel Makasa, Egypt) Allan Kyambadde (El Gouna, Egypt), Allan Okello (Paradou, Algeria).
