A group of People Power supporters from Kiseka Market last Wednesday gifted MP Bobi Wine with new car door glasses shortly after the previous ones were smashed by Uganda Police during a scuffle after his nomination.
Uganda's pop star turned politician was "arrested", "beaten" and "tortured" by the law enforcers on Tuesday minutes after he registered his candidacy to challenge President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the forthcoming general elections.
The popular singer and opposition presidential hopeful faced the wrath of the men in uniform as they reportedly blocked him from organising unlawful processions within the city center that would arguably distort public order.
In the process of his arrest, his car door windows ended up being smashed by the police officers as they dragged him forcefully out of his car. Now, the National Unity Platform Supporters from Kiseka Market paid MP Bobi Wine a courtesy visit last Wednsday to show they support and allegiance to him thereby repairing his car with new door glasses.
