Six time Uganda Premier League champions Express FC have on Monday 26th October, 2020 announced the signing of Ivan Mayanja.
Ivan Mayanja, a creative midfielder joins the Wasswa Bbosa coached side on a three year contract from newly FUFA Big League promoted side CATDA FC. He was part of the struggle to get the side up from big league.
This he told the club media.... “I am happy to have signed for Express FC, it's a club I’ve always wanted to join and now that it is done, the work starts immediately. I am ready to help the team achieve the desired goal which is winning silver ware.”
He joins a crop of players that have joined the club recently and they include Mahad Yaya Kakooza, Baker Sakah,Denis Mubuya , Charles Musige Godfrey Lwesibawa,George Ssenkaaba,Denis Otim,Abel Eturude,Isaac Nsengiyunva,Enock Walusimbi, Murushid Juuko, Richard Bbosa, mention but a few.
The new season 2020/2021 will start in mid-November 2020 and the medical and physical fitness tests for referees undertaken in the weekend plus the successful promotional Big League and Regional League play offs all point to the fact that football is back.
