Burundian goalkeeper Fabian Mutombora has penned a three-year contract extension at the four-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC that will see him stay at St. Mary's stadium until 2023.
Mutombora who joined Fred Kajoba's side in 2018 from Lydia Ludic Académic FC has become a significant figure in the squad and was vital Last season as the "Venoms" won their fourth trophy.
His goalkeeping antics have seen goalkeepers like James Alitho and Derrick Ochan quit the club as they couldn't beat competitions against him.
Upon penning the contract extension, Mutombora had this to tell the club website....
“I’m really pleased to commit my future to Vipers SC and it's great the club has put their faith in me. “I have achieved what has achieved here and I hope I can keep on learning, helping the team and lifting trophies over the next three years.”
Aside from helping the club win the league, Mutombora was influential in the Vipers squad as they won the Pilsner Super eight prior to the season kick off.
