Six time Uganda Premier League champions Express FC have on Friday 16th October, 2020 unveiled their new signing and defender Murushid Juuko.
The defender joining the club came as a surprise having also been poached by four time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC but Express FC new CEO Isaac Mwesigwa won the race to lure the senior defender's signature.
Upon arrival, Jjuuko had this to say...
"Firstly i want to appreciate the CEO (Isaac Mwesigwa) and the head coach (Wasswa Bbosa) for making this happen, am happy to be here, Express is a big club and it’s current progress speaks for it’self and am sure we going to win silverware this season” He stated.
The defender's credibility has never at any cost been doubted having played for Vipers SC, Simba in Tanzania and lately in Morocco at Wydad Casablanca though injuries ruined his career at the club and hence resulting into termination of his contract.
At his new home Express, he can leave at any time and join any club in the diaspora as long as an agreement is reached. However, Express FC should take 20% of such a deal. Juuko has also played for Ugandan sides Bunamwaya (Vipers) who he also helped win the league in 2011 before having a stint the now defunct side Sports Club Victoria University.
