Uganda Cranes Captain Onyango Guides Mamelodi to a League Title Triumph

The South African Premier League ended on Saturday 5th,2020 with Mamelodi Sundowns emerging as league victors on the final day with a 3:0 victory over Black Leopards FC.

It was a massive day for Uganda Cranes captain Dennis Masinde Onyango as his goalkeeping antics guided his side to a record tenth title, thanks to a hat-trick from Lebohang Maboe.

It was the second time that the "Bafana baStyle" won the title on three successive occasions, a record they hold alone.

They beat Kaiser Chiefs to the trophy on the deadline day as the Chiefs squandered two points to Baroka after a one all stalemate.

Kaiser Chiefs led the the league throughout the whole season but only to lose on the final day. They finished second with 57 points from 17 wins, 6 draws and 7 losses from 30 matches.

On the other side, Mamelodi Sundowns aka "The Brazillians" topped the table with 59 points from 17 wins, 8 draws and 5 losses.

It brings the total number of league trophies for the Uganda Cranes Cranes, Onyango to seven after also winning three at Super Sport United.
