Express FC have early morning on Wednesday 2nd September, 2020 announced the signing of midfielder Mahad "Yahaya" Kakooza on a two year contract.
The 22 year old rejoins the six time champions from Proline FC. Mahad played for the now Wasswa Bbosa coached side in the season 2016/2017.
Upon penning the contract, the midfielder had this to tell the club website; “Firstly, I am a fan of this great club, my dad too, so when the opportunity presented it's self, I couldn't turn it down. Am therefore so glad and proud to be at a club where I am familiar with the surroundings”.
His arrival means he joins already recruited Abel Eturude, Baker Sakah, Godfrey Lwesibawa, forward Kiragga Mustafa to complete the list of eight signings for the Red Eagles.
Express FC finished 9th last season with 31 points from 9 wins, 4 draws and 12 losses and are looking for uplifting their performance ahead of next season 2020/2021. Express FC are six time Uganda Premier league champions and last won in 2012 with Sam Ssimbwa at the helm.
