Goalkeeper Derrick Ochan has completed his move to Uganda Police FC from Vipers SC. The 24-year-old, formerly at St Mary's SS, Kitende signed a one year contract with the 2005 this afternoon at the club offices in Kibuli.

Despite seeing little playing time at Vipers, Ochan is viewed as one of the brilliant goalkeepers in the league.

“I feel very happy and I’m also happy to say that I'm proud to be here," Ochan who featured for Vipers last season said. Adding that "I need to work hard, give in more to serve this club wholeheartedly and deliver for it."

The custodian becomes the club's third signing in the goalkeeping department (and eighth in general) with Tom Ikara and Sammon Oloka signed earlier.

Fahad Lumu, the club CEO acknowledged the experience the youngster comes with. “He is one of the best goal keepers and as we look towards revamping the team, the goalkeeping department is essential.

"He comes with experience, vigor and has a winning mentality.”

The new season 2020/2021 starts on 17th October, 2020 if normalcy is restored in the country.
